Beginning with a lengthy drive over the Prithvi Highway to Arughat and then until Soti Khola, the Tsum Valley Trek begins. After Dhading Bensi, the path can become a little rougher. The walk begins the following day as we travel alongside the Budi Gandaki River before making our way to the settlement of Khursane by descending through a Sal Forest.
We travel from Khursane to Lapurbesi and then to Machha Khola through an upward trek. To pass Tatopani and Dobhan, stay on the path that runs alongside the Budi Gandaki River. We’ll ultimately get to Jagat thanks to the climb. This signals our arrival in the Manaslu Conservation Area, which is a habitat for over 110 different bird species and over 33 different mammalian species. To get to Salleri, take the rocky trails. Go down to Sirdibas and then retrace your steps to Philim. It is a short, steep walk from Philim to Chisapani.
The following day, after traversing Kungwa and Siyar Khola, we will arrive in Chumling. Meanwhile, upon crossing the Serpu Khola, we will arrive in Chokhangparo. We will reach the village of the Nile on the tenth day of our walk. But first, we will pass past the Rachen Nunnery, which Drupa Rinpoche founded in 1936. We can reach Mu Gompa from the Nile by taking a short, uphill climb. Examine the Dephu Doma Gompa and the Mu Gompa. Additionally, find out more about the village’s customs and traditions.
